What is the difference between locked and unlocked iPhones?

A locked iPhone means you can only use SIM card from the carrier the phone is locked to. For example a locked iPhone purchased from AT&T would not work with SIM card from any other phone carriers. An unlocked iPhone has no such restriction.

The basic difference between locked and unlocked iPhone is the carrier,If your Iphone can connect with any GSM network than it means to be it is Unlocked. If your Iphone cannot connect with other GSM network and it is said to be Locked Phone. You can use the Locked phone with other carrier by unlocking it you can unlock your Iphone In many ways, like calling the service provider and requesting to unlock you Phone. This may takes weeks or month to unlock your Iphone or you can unlock your Iphone by taking it to the near by mobile shop, but it is not safe some time it may brick your Iphone or you can use the online unlocking service to unlock your Iphone .I would suggest to use the remote unlock service which is one reliable way to unlock your Iphone with out Bricking. You can avail the service from the site http://www.theunlockspot.com/apple-iphone/rs10wp9/ .By providing some basic information about your phone like the country and the Network which is currently locked to .
