Why did Robert Fischer not recognize the people on plane after he woke up?

It is difficult to remember the details of our dreams.  He may have thought he recognized their faces, but he probably couldn't figure out where he had seen them before.

In the airport scene at the end, as Cobb walks past Fischer, you can see an expression on his face that seems to show slight recognition.  Cobb then gives him an odd look that seems to say, "Does he remember?"

Also, he could find it natural that they'd be in his dream as they were the people on the airplane with him... Right?

Fischer and Cobb spoke when they were on the plane. They shared a toast to Fischer's father after Cobb returned the passport to him. So it would be natural that Fischer would recognize him from that. It would also be easy enough to believe that someone you recently spoke to might show up in your dream, on the off chance that Fischer remembered Cobb as Mr. Charles.
